Here’s everything that you can order with your Vivint home system
Unlike other security companies, Vivint’s smart home offerings are available to renters. Here are some of the more popular sensors and services:
Door alarms and glass break sensors can warn you when an surprise visitor enters your apartment or rental house. Get a notification to your mobile device when an device triggers, or arm and disarm your components remotely so you can let in maintenance or guests when you’re at work.
Fire, flood, and safety detectors
Ordinary smoke detectors will come with your rental unit, but you may not get other safety alarms. Install a wireless carbon monoxide detector or water sensor to warn you and Vivint’s monitoring agents to catastrophes before it’s too late.
HD security cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly put up so you can watch over certain rooms. A doorbell camera gives you the option to see -- and talk to -- guests at the door. Get real-time HD feeds and alerts about possible lurkers through your mobile app.
A great benefit of using Vivint is the monitoring agents backing up your alarms. If a component trips, your monitoring experts quickly contacts you to see if you’re safe. Then they’ll turn around and phone the fire or police departments.
Smart home devices
Home automation components, like smart lighting, can be added to make your rental more energy-efficient. Some items like a smart thermostat or smart door locks may require prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your Fort Collins security system is able to be adjusted anywhere with the Vivint App. Watch live camera feeds, remotely arm and disarm components, or program schedules for all your smart devices. Then allow notifications to your mobile device if a device triggers or a security camera picks up unsavory activity.
